More than 900 readers of TheHorse.com responded to a poll asking, “Do you support any equine-related charities or nonprofit groups?”

Results were as follows:

  • Yes, I contribute financially: 41.14% (381)
  • Yes, I contribute time and money: 31.64% (293)
  • No: 17.49% (162)
  • Yes, I contribute my time/volunteer: 9.72% (90)

While some readers commented that they run or work at official rescues, others said that they contribute by training and caring for their own project and personal horses.
