There are several animal attractions at the Cornwall’s Crealy park near Wadebridge in the United Kingdom, but one of the most popular is the draft horse exhibit. Roger Harvey, manager of the park’s animal attractions, teaches the draft horses tricks that are performed for the public, acccording to an article on ThisIsCornwall.co.uk.
Cornwall’s Crealy originally was Cornish Shire Horse Park, and the management still breeds shire horses on the grounds. The article noted that Shires have been “declared an endangered breed by experts, and the number of breeding mares has dropped by a third in recent years.”
Among tricks the horses perform are kicking a football, noted the article. The draft horses are featured to help the public understand how the gentle giants worked for a living on the farm, in transportation, and in war prior to the tractor and automobile. Other draft breeds on display include a Percheron, Clydesdale, and Suffolk
