Tennessean.com reported yesterday (Oct. 17) that the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ and Exhibitors’ Association (TWHBEA) has voted to cancel the Thanksgiving weekend competition it had planned for naming a World Grand Champion. The National Celebration event in August was cancelled, so the association had hoped the surrogate event would serve as an opportunity to crown a 2006 Champion.


According to the article, the TWHBEA voted on Monday to cancel the show, which was to be held Nov. 24-25 in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
