Blood-Horse Publications has announced it will publish a special edition commemorating the life of Barbaro, the classic winner who died Jan. 29.

The “Barbaro Commemorative Collector’s Edition”, devoted to the career of the Kentucky Derby winner and his unsuccessful battle to overcome an injury sustained in the Preakness Stakes and a bout of laminitis, will be available March 1, with orders now being taken.

The special issue, in which Barbara Livingston’s photo “Eye of a Champion” will grace the cover, will contain 80 pages of articles and more than 50 color photos, all pulled from the pages of Blood-Horse Publications.

The Barbaro Commemorative Collector’s Edition will cost $7.95 (plus $3.95 shipping and handling) and will not be sent to Blood-Horse subscribers as part of their subscriptions
