Recently, 12 members and two widows of class members from the Class of 1957 gathered at Oklahoma State University’s Center for Veterinary Health Sciences to celebrate their 50th Class Reunion. Among those attending were Dr. Leroy Coggins, developer of the Coggins test for equine infectious anemia, and Dr. Betty Self, the second female to graduate from the OSU College of Veterinary Medicine.

Of the 23 living members of the class, the following veterinarians were able to attend the festivities: Norman Adams, Harvey Arnold, Bert Briscoe, Leroy Coggins, Jack Gregory, Jerry Humphrey, Anton Kammerlocher, Carroll Olson, Calvin Poole, Joseph Potucek, Betty Self, and Louis Stubbs. Mrs. Patricia Endacott attended on behalf of her deceased husband, Dr. William Endacott. Mrs. Carol Reeder Grissom also attended on behalf of her deceased husband, Dr. Theodore Reeder.

Activities included lunch, an update on the Veterinary Center from Dean Michael Lorenz and faculty members, and a tour of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Oklahoma Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory, and McElroy Hall. The group also spent time reminiscing and sharing news about the various accomplishments they achieved during their careers in veterinary medicine.
