The American Quarter Horse Youth Association is gearing up for the annual Bank of America Youth Excellence Seminar (Y.E.S.) and American Quarter Horse Youth Association Convention June 15-17 at the Amarillo Civic Center. Take advantage of early registration at a reduced rate until May 16. The deadline for all Y.E.S. registrations is May 27.

More than 200 AQHYA members are expected to attend this year’s event. The Youth Excellence Seminar focuses on developing AQHYA members’ leadership through several group activities and expert motivational speakers. This year’s featured speakers are Dennis McLoughlin, Dr. Bud Joiner, Bart Vanderdose, and Craig Zablocki.

Youth will gain a greater understanding of the American Quarter Horse industry and learn ways they can become more involved.

“Our goal is for youth members to get involved in all aspects of AQHA, and at the same time, learn valuable leadership skills that will enhance their AQHYA experience,” said Christy Bramwell, AQHA Senior Manager of Youth Activities
