SmartPak will be offering monthly in-depth discussions on a range of equine health topics at their new store in Natick, Mass.
Starting on September 13th, SmartPak’s medical director, Lydia Gray, DVM, will offer the latest research and lead discussions in such areas as “Traveling With Your Horse,” “Joint Supplements: What’s Hip and What’s Hype?,” “Preparing Your Horse for Old Man Winter,” and “Colic Prevention.” Dates for the series are September 13, October 25, November 15, and December 13 respectively, with each session beginning at 7p.m.
“I hope to make the Get Smart Series an opportunity for horse owners to get comprehensive information on topics relevant to every horse owner, in a casual, fun and interactive format,” said Gray. “I’m looking forward to presenting the latest research available and discussing each topic thoroughly with attendees.”
“We plan to take the same approach with our retail store that we have taken with our catalog and Web site,” says Paal Gisholt, SmartPak’s president and CEO. “Rather than simply ‘selling stuff,’ we aspire to be the first place serious horse people turn for information and products to optimize their horse’s health and performance. Lydia’s background in owner education has been a huge help to our staff of product specialists, and we are excited to be able to share her knowledge with riders in the Boston area
