Exclusive items ranging from a limited edition bronze of the late great Thoroughbred stallion Nureyev to a NASCAR driving experience highlight the AAEP Foundation’s first-ever live auction. The fundraising event will be held as part of the AAEP Foundation Southern Celebration on Tuesday, Dec. 7 during the AAEP’s 48th Annual Convention in Orlando, Fla., and all are invited to attend.
The following items will be offered to the highest bidder during the live auction:
“The Immortal Nureyev”
Donated by artist Karen Kasper and Dr. Ric Redden, this limited edition bronze head study of the great Thoroughbred stallion Nureyev was sculpted from a life study during his final months. This is the prized first of only 10 signed and numbered Kasper Nureyev sculptures worldwide.
“Experience of a Lifetime” Richard Petty Driving Experience
Two packages donated by The Horse magazine will provide the winning bidders with the opportunity to take the wheel and inhale over 30 laps of exhilarating action in a NASCAR Winston Cup-style stock car
