This year’s Canadian Equestrian Federation Convention to be held January 21-26 in Ottawa, ON, Canada, will feature guest speakers Equine biomechanics expert Dr. Hilary Clayton, an equine biomechanics expert, and sports psychologist Geri Agrey.
Clayton will be featured Sunday morning, January 25, followed by an afternoon session with Agrey which certified coaches may use for up-dating requirements.
Clayton, who is well known for her research on equine gait analysis and conditioning for sport horses, is currently working at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University. She will address the important question, “What Makes a Good Mover?” and will give an up-date on her research into the mechanics of dressage and jumping horses.
Agrey, having acted as a mental and physical training consultant to the Canadian Three Day Eventing Team, tells of her methods which are for athletes who aspire to reach competitive excellence.
