The American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP) has joined the American Quarter Horse Association’s (AQHA) Marketing Alliance, according to an announcement made at the 62nd Annual AQHA Convention in Dallas, Texas.

Through this alliance, AAEP and AQHA will team up to educate horse owners about horse health. AAEP will serve as the Health Authority for AQHA’s educational initiatives, while AQHA will provide professionals for AAEP member sessions on horsemanship topics.

“I believe this alliance will be extremely valuable by providing beneficial resources and information to owners, Members and the equine industry on ways to improve the health of horses,” said Bill Brewer, AQHA Executive Vice President.

AAEP was created in 1954 as a group of 12 charter members who saw that together they could direct the focus of equine veterinary medicine. Its mission is to improve the health and welfare of the horse, to further the professional development of its members, and to provide resources and leadership for the benefit of the equine industry
