Even if you aren’t a Thoroughbred racing fan, you would be hard-pressed not to have heard of the great racehorse Secretariat. I know his owner, Penny Chenery, from my years of working at The Blood-Horse. She’s an amazing horsewoman, and a lover of her now-deceased champion.

It’s fitting that a Disney movie is being made about Secretariat’s life.
