Will she or won’t she? US “O” dressage judge Anne Gribbons knew she was in line for a coveted position — president of the ground jury for the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games dressage competition — when she entered talks with the United States Equestrian Federation about becoming the next US national dressage chef d’equipe and technical advisor. The chef job would render her ineligible for the judging gig.

Well, the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) has released its list of dressage officials for the WEG, and Gribbons’s name is on it! She is indeed listed as president of the ground jury, meaning that she will be the head judge at “C.” Is it a done deal? Has Gribbons turned down the chef position for sure? I’ll let you know as soon as I hear it from the horse’s mouth, if you’ll pardon the expression.

 On the ground-jury list along with Gribbons are the following judges: Mary Seefried of Australia, Cara Whitham of Canada, Stephen Clarke of Great Britain, Evi Eisenhardt of Germany, Maribel Alonso of Mexico, and Ghislain Fouarge of the Netherlands. The FEI foreign technical delegate is Wojtek Markowski of Poland. Elizabeth McMullen of Canada will head the Appeals Committee.

The FEI also announced the officials for the WEG para-equestrian dressage competition, which features riders with physical disabilities. Hanneke Gerritsen of the Netherlands is the president of the ground jury. Her fellow judges are Alison Mastin of Ireland, Gudrun Hoffinga of Germany, Sarah Rodgers of Great Britain, Kjell Myhre of Norway, Carlos Lopes of Portugal, Jan Geary of Australia, and Anne Prain of France. Jane Goldsmith of Great Britain is the FEI foreign technical delegate. Hope Hand of the USA will head the Appeals Committee
