A Florida woman is facing multiple charges after she allegedly rode her horse down a busy roadway while she was intoxicated.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a report from a passerby about a woman who appeared confused and possibly in danger on a busy roadway near Lakeland, Florida, on Nov. 2. Upon arrival, deputies found Donna Byrne riding her horse after allegedly consuming a large amount of alcohol.

After a field sobriety test determined that Byrne’s breath alcohol levels were .157 and .161, well over Florida’s legal breath alcohol limit of .08, she was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.

Byrne was also charged with animal neglect for allegedly failing to provide proper protection for the horse, which she had put at risk by riding on the road
