Equine Veterinarian, Parents Killed in Kentucky

Emily Champion, DVM, who practiced veterinary medicine at Delta Downs Racetrack Casino & Hotel in Vinton, Louisiana, was the victim of a multiple homicide Oct. 26 while visiting her parents at their rural home in Western Kentucky.
Champion, 31, a veterinarian with Baronne Equine Veterinary Clinic in Sunset, Louisiana, was found shot to death along with her parents, Lindsey and Joy Champion of Cadiz, Kentucky, and another man.
Kentucky State Police say the man, identified as 22-year-old Vito Y. Riservato of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, is suspected of shooting Champion and her parents.
Police also say they are investigating Riservato's relationship to the family and that he could have met them just a week ago. A fourth family member, Emily Champion's brother Ryan Champion, might have been at home during the attack and is being treated at a hospital, according to published reports
