The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the shooting deaths of two mustangs in Idaho.
BLM spokesperson Jessica Gardetto said the agency discovered the animals' carcasses during the Thanksgiving weekend after two individuals reported seeing the downed horses near Spar Canyon road about 15 miles southwest of Challis, Idaho. Both mustangs had sustained gunshot wounds, Gardetto said.
If caught, those responsible could face penalties of up to one year in jail and a $100,000 fine.
Anyone with information about the incident should call BLM Special Agent-In-Charge Loren Good at 208/373-4024
