Touted as the 2005 Keeneland January Horses of All Ages Sale Prayer Breakfast, the Blue Grass Farms Chaplaincy (a division of the Race Track Chaplaincy of America) held a well-attended meeting at Keeneland the morning of Jan. 13 to give insight into its programs and encourage participation and support from the industry. The needs range from as simple as sponsoring a Bible to large financial pledges.

David Foley, executive director of the American Association of Equine Practitioners and president of the Blue Grass Farms Chaplaincy (which reaches out to Thoroughbred farm workers in Central Kentucky), said he sees this program as “serving God through our service to others.” The group hopes this type of program can be expanded into other areas of the country
