Horse owners in the path of the Station fire are urged to bring their animals to Los Angeles Pierce College in Woodland Hills, the Los Angeles Times reported. The previous site, the Los Angeles Equestrian Center in Griffith Park, was filled as of Saturday night.
The fire has burned more than 20,000 acres. The paper reported mandatory evacuations in La Cañada Flintridge, Pasadena, La Crescenta, Glendale, and Big Tujunga Canyon.
Other active fires include the Morris fire north of Azusa and another on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Another fire in the San Bernardino National Forest has burned nearly 2,300 acres near Hemet
