Gluck Equine Research Foundation Releases Inaugural Research Report

The 56-page Research Report 2009 focuses on the research accomplishments and scientific publications published during the calendar year by the faculty at the UK Maxwell H. Gluck Equine Research Center.
“The Research Report is a scorecard for what the Gluck Equine Research Center faculty accomplished last year,” said Ed Squires, PhD, Dipl. ACT, executive director of the Gluck Foundation and director of advancement and industry relations. “This will serve as an important tool to showcase what research is currently being conducted at the Gluck Center to our stakeholders.”
Each year, more than 20 faculty members at the Gluck Center are assisted by students, postdoctorals, and visiting scientists in conducting research in six areas: genetics and genomics, infectious diseases and immunology, musculoskeletal science, parasitology, pharmacology/toxicology, and reproductive health. The Research Report is divided by groups and includes each faculty member’s educational background, interests, projects, and graduate students. It also includes 2009 research technicians/assistants and visiting scientists
