The field of animal rehabilitation is rapidly growing and a number of veterinary practices and teaching hospitals now include rehabilitation services. Nationwide and beyond, veterinarians and physical therapists are collaborating to provide rehabilitation programs for companion animals and horses.

Auburn University will be hosting the 6th International Association of Veterinary Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy Symposium, designed to give professionals involved with or interested in animal rehabilitation the opportunity to hear the most current scientific and clinical information in this field.

The symposium takes place Aug. 4-7 at the Hotel at Auburn University and the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. Laboratory and demonstration sessions will cover many clinical aspects of animal rehabilitation. Exhibits, expert breakfast sessions, and 24 hours of continuing education credit in the United States are also included.
