EEE: Another Florida Horse Dead

Less than one week after a Massachusetts colt died due to the disease, Florida has seen yet another horse die from Eastern equine encephalitis (EEE).
This news is not new, as Florida owners have been warned about the spike in cases this year, let alone this month.
The News-Press.com announced that the fourth horse from Collier County has died from the mosquito-borne disease.
According to the Florida Department of Health, July is usually the most active month when it comes to human cases of EEE in the state, averaging between 30-35 declared cases. Florida also leads the country in EEE cases in horses every year
