Legislation prompted by the attack on five Saddlebreds in Central Kentucky last summer was passed by the Kentucky Senate on Thursday, March 25, according to an Associated Press story.


The article said, “The bill was sent back to the House, which passed it first, for a vote on Senate amendments.


“If enacted in its current form, horses and other livestock would be defined as ‘property’ under Kentucky law. Damage to any livestock worth more than $1,000 would therefore be a felony,” said the article.
