The American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP), the world’s largest professional association of equine veterinarians, is pleased to announce the addition of the Arabian Horse Association (AHA) to the AAEP’s Alliance Partner Program. Through this alliance the organizations will educate horse owners about quality health care for the Arabian breed.

“The AHA and the AAEP share a strong tradition of education as well as a love of the horse,” said Larry Bramlage, DVM, MS, Dipl. ACVS, AAEP president. “With so many AAEP members involved in the hands-on care of this popular breed, our partnership with the AHA is a natural extension of the veterinary care that is already provided on an individual basis.”

“We’re very pleased to become an Alliance Partner with the AAEP because it raises awareness about Arabian horses among the veterinary community and gives us a direct pipeline to those who assist us with the health and welfare of our horses,” said Bill Hughes, president, Arabian Horse Association.

AHA is a 46,000-member equine association that registers and maintains a database of more then one million Arabian, Half-Arabian and Anglo-Arabian horses. It publishes the bimonthly Arabian Horse Magazine, administers $4 million in annual prize money, produces national events, recognizes more than 400 Arabian horse shows and distance rides and provides activities and programs that promote breeding and ownership
