The Equine Disease Communication Center (EDCC) reported Nov. 6 that the Tennessee State Veterinarian confirmed another equine West Nile virus (WNV) case.

“An 8-year-old Tennessee Walking Horse mare in Warren County was confirmed positive on Nov. 1, 2018, by IgM ELISA,” the EDCC said. “The vaccination status of the horse is unknown.”

On Oct. 31, the state Department of Agriculture reported that five confirmed cases of WNV in Tennessee horses. https://thehorse
