American Farriers Journal of Brookfield, Wis., is taking nominations for the International Equine Veterinarians Hall Of Fame class of 2000.

Since 1997, the International Equine Veterinarians Hall Of Fame has honored individuals who have left a lasting impression on the horse industry. This Hall Of Fame complements the existing International Horseshoeing Hall Of Fame for outstanding farriers.

Nominees should be distinguished in many ways by their actions and careers. In the past, nominees have been divided into two categories: practicing veterinarians who work closely with farriers on foot care in the field, and university or industry veterinarians involved in teaching, research or other aspects of hoof care.

Anyone can nominate a vet for the Hall Of Fame. When you send in a nomination, please include your phone number and address in case more information is needed on a nominee
