Commentary: WEVA Holds Veterinary Education Event in Uzbekistan

In late 2018, the World Equine Veterinary Association (WEVA) held an educational intermediate meeting in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
The Ministry of Highest and Secondary Education of Uzbekistan, State Veterinary Committee of Uzbekistan, Samarkand Institute of Veterinary Medicine, Russian Equine Veterinary Association (REVA), and WEVA organized the event, and the Samarkand Institute of Veterinary Medicine hosted the three-day conference that attracted around 300 veterinarians and veterinary students. SAG Gilamlari, Boehringer Ingelheim, and Zabegina sponsored this event.
The conference venue was secured thanks to few years of negotiations between Kirill Manuilov, DVM, president of REVA and chief vet of the Moscow Hippodrome; Professor Bakhtior Dalievich Narziyev, of Uzbekistan; and SAG Gilamlari, a textile company that supports the Uzbek equestrian industry
