The robotics-controlled imaging system, Equimagine, newly installed at University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine’s (Penn Vet) New Bolton Center, will be the focus of a discussion by clinicians on Tuesday, May 3, at 6:30 p.m.

The presentation is part of Penn Vet’s First Tuesday Lecture Series and will take place at 382 West Street Road, in Kennett Square.

Speakers will include:

  • Dean Richardson, DVM, Dipl. ACVS, New Bolton Center’s chief of large animal surgery;
  • Barbara Dallap Schaer, VMD, Dipl. ACVS, ACVECC, New Bolton Center’s medical director and emergency and critical care specialist; and
  • Tom Schaer, VMD, director of Penn Vet’s preclinical service core and translation in orthopedic surgery.

The lecture will highlight the unique capabilities of the robotics-controled imaging system, produced by Four Dimensional Digital Imaging (4DDI), to capture diagnostic images in the standing horse. The clinicians will explain the role Penn Vet experts are playing in developing the large animal application of this technology in collaboration with 4DDI
