High winds over the weekend caused problems for many in Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand. A horse truck traveling along State Highway 50 near Takapau “was turned on its side by a gust of wind,” noted an online news story by Lucy Craymer on www.hbtoday.co.nz.

Apparently the road is known for its high wind gusts, and the report said it is “not unheard of for vehicles to be blown off the road, but it was unusual to see one blown over.” The road was closed for an hour due to the wreck.

The article said the two humans in the truck had only minor injuries, and the horses escaped without injury
