Summer-like temperatures shined on Old Hilltop as racing got underway yesterday (April 20) for the 2006 Pimlico spring meeting. More than 6,100 fans turned out under sunny skies to enjoy an afternoon at the historic Baltimore oval, which will feature live racing through Saturday, June 10. The signature race of the stand is the 131st Preakness Stakes, the middle jewel of the famed Triple Crown one month from yesterday–Saturday, May 20.
