Kentucky Woman Faces Animal Cruelty Charges

A Kentucky woman has been arrested on 97 charges after authorities seized 14 horses from her Trimble County property.
On Feb. 2, law enforcement personnel arrested Marlena Robinson and charged her with 54 counts of misdemeanor animal cruelty and 43 counts of failure to properly dispose of an animal carcass, said Russell Spaulding of Trimble County Animal Control. He said investigators followed up on a complaint about dead animals on a local property on Jan. 31, where they discovered a horse carcass at the farm’s gate and the carcass of a dead foal behind a trailer.
“Once we got into the wooded part of the property, we found the skulls of another 17 horses,” Spaulding said.
Several rabbits’ and goats’ remains were also discovered on the property, he said
