The American Quarter Horse Youth World Cup, an international leadership event that includes educational horsemanship clinics and a friendly Olympic-style competition, is hosting youth from 16 countries July 3-11 in Oklahoma City.

Police Probe NY Horse Shootings

Law enforcement authorities are seeking those responsible for a series of sniper attacks on horses in Ticonderoga, N.Y. The horses’ owners discovered the animals wounded in their pastures in May and early June. Each horse had been shot with a high-powered rifle, said Sgt. Michael LaVallie of the Ticonderoga Police Department. All the horses are expected to recover.
