Colorado State University (CSU) will celebrate the grand opening of its new Equine Reproduction Laboratory from 4 to 6 p.m. on April 26, according to a statement on the school’s website. A short program will begin at 4:15 p.m. at the new 12,200 square foot facility located at 3101 Rampart Road in Fort Collins. Fire destroyed the original main laboratory building in 2011.

Due to space limitations, registration is required.

Speakers at the program will include:

  • Tony Frank, DVM, PhD, CSU president;
  • Mark Stetter, DVM, Dipl. ACZM, dean of the CSU College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences; and
  • Jerry Black, DVM, director of the Equine Reproduction Laboratory and the Wagonhound Land and Livestock College Chair in Equine Sciences.

According to a statement on CSU’s website, "The grand opening celebration is being co-hosted by the College of Agricultural Sciences and the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, which collaborate on multiple equine programs ranging from orthopedics to reproductive techniques to produce veterinarians as well as undergraduates in equine sciences
