The University of Maryland (UMD) Equine Rotational Grazing Demonstration Farm will be hosting a lecture on chemical free weed control for horse pastures on July 19 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

The lecture, "Au Naturale! Non Chemical Weed Control," will teach attendees what can be done to control weeds in the pasture without using chemicals. Speaker Les Vough, PhD, UMD forage specialist emeritus, shares his ideas on how to manage your pastures to prevent weeds from encroaching and gives suggestions of practices that will reduce the weeds that do invade your fields.

The lecture will take place at the University of Maryland Equine Rotational Grazing Demonstration Site, located at 4241 Folly Quarter Road in Ellicott City, Md. Educational materials will be provided and refreshments will be served. The event is free and open to the public, but pre-registration is required.
