The "International Summit on Race Day Medication, Exercised-Induced Pulmonary Hemorrhage (EIPH), and the Racehorse" has been scheduled for June 13-14 in New York City.

The event is jointly sponsored by the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP), the National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA), and the Racing Medication and Testing Consortium (RMTC). The location will be announced in the future.

The summit will include participation by representatives from major racing jurisdictions around the world, including Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia, along with the U.S. and Canada, according to a May 12 release from the NTRA.

Summit panels will offer discussions on such topics as regulatory issues surrounding race-day medication, veterinary viewpoints on EIPH management, and EIPH management from trainers’ perspectives
