The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) will field a para dressage team for the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, but some athletes are in need of horses.
This is a great opportunity to experience the WEG from the inside and be the owner of an international superstar that can change someone’s life.
Many countries will be seeking horses for use in the months before the WEG begins in September. They will be looking for horses for riders in all of the para-equestrian grades:
- Grade IV riders need big-moving, well-behaved Prix St. Georges horses with the training and ability to perform simple changes, walk pirouettes, half-pass trot and canter, and collected, medium, and extended canter.
- Grade III riders will require a good-moving horse with well-established lateral movements, collected and medium trot and canter, and good walk pirouettes.
- Grade I and II riders perform at the walk and trot, but a Prix St. Georges-quality walk and trot would be ideal.
Anyone who has a suitable horse available is encouraged to visit the U.S. Para Equestrian Association. All arrangements will be made between the horse owner and the rider
