Illinois Slaughter Bill Passed in Senate Committee
An Illinois Senate Committee voted 7-0 on May 8 to pass a bill banning horse slaughter for human consumption. The Humane Society of the United States applauded the Senate Committee and urged the full Senate to pass the legislation.
