World Championship Blacksmiths, LLC (WCB) out of Ithaca, Nebraska, was accepted as a chapter of the American Farrier’s Association (AFA) at the mid-year Board of Directors meeting in Albuquerque, NM on September 9th. WCB is led by CEO, Craig Trnka, former AFA President of 4 years. Trnka said the acceptance as an AFA chapter is an important success for WCB. “We support the AFA and wanted to find a way to become aligned with this organization. There are unlimited opportunities for our organizations to work together. The acceptance of a formal relationship should be a win-win for AFA and WCB.”

WCB also made an announcement to the AFA Board of Directors that they would be making a presentation to the AFA’s Board at the February 2007 meeting to propose a partnership with the AFA for the WCB’s National Championship. WCB has stated publicly their goal is to host their National Championship at the AFA’s National Convention starting in 2008.
