At over 670 riding centers, more than 30,000 individuals with mental or physical disabilities find recreation, challenge and a sense of independence thanks to Equine Assisted Activities backed by the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association (NARHA). Pfizer Animal Health recently donated $400,000 of the company’s daily equine parasite preventive, Strongid C, to the NARHA.

“In Equine Assisted Activities the horse is a true partner. It is essential that every horse working in these programs be happy and content so that they too can be engaged in the process,” said William Scebbi, Executive Director and CEO for NARHA. “For this reason, NARHA centers make the highest commitment to providing for every aspect of each horse’s care.”

One important part of that care is effective deworming. And thanks to Pfizer’s donation, daily parasite prevention and control will be made available to every certified NARHA program across the country this year.
