It’s Labor Day weekend, and that means we’re inside the 21-day-countdown mark to the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Lexington, Kentucky, September 25-October 10.
By now, most of you probably know the WEG basics: sixteen days, eight International Equestrian Federation (FEI) disciplines, Kentucky Horse Park, concurrent on-site trade show and educational and entertaining equine-themed demonstrations and exhibitions. Competing, unaffiliated-with-WEG trade show/equine expo (the International Equestrian Festival) in downtown Lexington.
In nearly a year of writing this blog, I’ve tried to cover the major WEG talking points: disciplines, qualifiers, teams, schedules, locations, spectator info, peripheral attractions, travel and transportation tips, prices, and preparations. This week, I thought it was time to turn the tables and, like a good DJ, take some requests
