BEVA’s ‘Don’t Break Your Vet’ Week Underway

The British Equine Veterinary Association (BEVA) has launched its “Don’t Break Your Vet” week in an effort to help reduce the risks equine veterinarians face on a daily basis.
It’s known that a significant proportion of equine vets will, at some point in their career, end up unconscious or hospitalized following an injury directly related to their work, and Equine Veterinary Education has published additional research to back this up.
Starting Thursday, Feb. 1, Don’t Break Your Vet week will feature a series of seven short video tutorials featuring veterinarian and equine behaviorist Gemma Pearson, BVMS, Cert. AVP (EM), MRCVS. The videos provide quick and simple techniques that will help owners prepare their horses to be quiet, relaxed, and safe for veterinary and other procedures, including clipping and giving oral medication.
