The Eventing Committee met at the end of June to finalize the Safety measures and rule modifications following the “Hartington” International Eventing Safety Committee report.
The Committee agreed on the following issues and amendments to be implemented for the 1st of January 2001, pending acknowledgement of the Executive Board during their meeting on 18 July 2000:
Standards for protective headgear will be set (the most commonly approved government standards will be applied).
International riders’ licenses will be progressively enforced—format and contents are currently being studied
