Oklahoma Horsemen Rally After Tornado Strike
Members of Oklahoma’s equestrian community are uniting to help their neighbors rebound after a fierce tornado whipped through the state on May 10. The storm demolished homes and barns in its path, and left several horses dead or injured.

Members of Oklahoma's equestrian community are uniting to help their neighbors rebound after a fierce tornado whipped through the state on May 10. The storm demolished homes and barns in its path, and left several horses dead or injured.
Three mares at the Royal Vista Ranch in Wayne were killed when the run-in shed in which they were standing collapsed, said ranch co-owner Laura Wipf. Several of the farm's other 175 animals sustained minor storm-related cuts and bruises.
In Bethel, two of Farron Belshe's horses died during the storm. Another was euthanized due to its storm-related injuries. In addition, the tornado demolished several structures, including the family's home.
