Miami Beach, Florida, authorities are investigating the alleged animal cruelty toward a horse ridden into a crowded nightclub there. Meanwhile, city officials have revoked the establishment’s license to do business.

Miami Beach Police Department Public Information Officer Ernesto Rodriguez said his department received several reports, including a video posted on social media, about a white horse that was ridden into the Mokai Lounge by a bikini-clad woman on March 8.

The video of the incident depicts the horse becoming panicked by the crowded club’s noise and lights and eventually bucking off the rider.

“We are very concerned over the allegations,” Rodriguez said. “As such, we have launched a joint investigation with Miami Beach Code Enforcement
