The Bureau of Land Management Challis Field Office, in Idaho, which is gathering wild horses from within the Challis Herd Management Area using bait traps, is offering a viewing of the gathered horses.

The public can view the horses at the Challis Wild Horse Corrals on Wednesday, April 5, and Thursday, April 6, from 3-5 p.m., local time.

This is the first time a large-scale bait trap operation has been attempted in Challis. So far, 18 horses have been gathered. The bait trap operation will continue until mid-April. Gather operation reports are available at bit.ly/ChallisGather2017.

To reach the Challis Wild Horse Corrals, travel three miles south of Challis to Hot Springs Road. Turn left on Hot Springs Road and follow the road for 2.8 miles
