Several Wyoming owners are offering a cash reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever cut their horses' tails.

Detective Dick Blust, public information officer for the Sweetwater County, Wyoming, Sheriff's Department, said that in November his department has answered calls from owners whose horses' tails had been cut.

“There were about four incidents last month,” he said.

Blust said hair derived from horses' tails could be valuable because it can be used in several ways, such as for making jewelry and violin bows
