Lookin At Lucky, the 2009 champion 2-year-old Thoroughbred male and winner of the 2010 Preakness Stakes, has been purchased by Coolmore Stud andis being retired to stand for stallion duty at Ashford Stud in Versailles, Ky., in 2011.

The son of Smart Strike is the winner of nine of his 13 starts, with earnings in excess of $3.3 million. He was sound enough to race every month from July through December, racking up five victories, including the Best Pal Stakes, Del Mar Futurity, Norfolk Stakes, and Cashcall Futurity. He is also a leading contender for another Eclipse Award following his victories in the Preakness and Haskell Invitational.

"This horse is such a warrior," trainer Bob Baffert said after the Preakness. "He wants to win; he tries so hard. He's got a great mind. He's a cool horse, a really great athlete with a very long incredible stride. He's one of the best horses I've ever had."
