Wind River Wild Horse Ecosanctuary Offering Public Day

The Wind River Wild Horse Ecosanctuary, in partnership with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and Wyoming Honor Farm, will host a free public day and wild horse adoption on June 9, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Wind River Wild Horse Ecosanctuary, seven miles north of Lander, Wyoming, provides a natural and free-roaming environment for wild horses removed from public rangelands, as part of an agreement between the BLM and the Double D Ranch.
This event will feature free wagon tours every half hour to view the 138 resident wild horses; a demonstration on halter training, first saddle, and first ride; and youth activities. Local food will be available for purchase
