- Topics: Article, Horse Industry News
Charlotte County, Fla., law enforcement authorities are seeking the public’s help in identifying those responsible for cutting the mane of a horse grazing in its Punta Gorda pasture earlier this month.
Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Debbie Bowie said that the horse’s owner reported that between Dec. 1 and Dec. 3 someone entered the pasture where a gray mare was grazing and cut horse’s mane.
Anyone with information about the incident should call the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office at 941/639-2101 and ask for the agriculture detective, Bowie said. Tipsters can also call Crime Stoppers at 800/780-TIPS (8477). All Crime Stopper calls are confidential.
