Schofield Lecture features Equine Neurology Researcher

The 2012 Schofield Memorial Lecture, taking place Nov. 14 at the University of Guelph’s Ontario Veterinary College (OVC), features a renowned expert on neurological disorders in horses.
I.G. Joe Mayhew, BVSc, FRCVS, PhD, Dipl ACVIM, ECVN, will discuss "Where? What? Why? The fun of veterinary neurology," on Nov. 14 at 4:30 p.m., in Room 1714 OVC Lifetime Learning Centre. A reception will follow.
The Schofield Lecture caps the OVC’s annual Graduate Student Research Symposium that features poster sessions and presentations by graduate students from across the University of Guelph campus.
A professor at Massey University in New Zealand, Mayhew was inducted into the University of Kentucky’s Equine Research Hall of Fame in 2009. His interests focus on comparative neuropathology and equine neurological diseases, and the second edition of his textbook, Large Animal Neurology, was published in 2009
