UGA Horse Owners Seminar Scheduled for Aug. 13

The University of Georgia (UGA) College of Veterinary Medicine will host its sixth annual Horse Owners Seminar on Aug. 13, beginning at 8:00 a.m. The seminar will also feature a hands-on wet lab after the lectures conclude for the morning.
Scheduled lecture topics include equine gastrointestinal anatomy, colic, colitis, and equine gastrointestinal parasites (topics are subject to change). The wet lab is entitled "Performing a Physical Exam: What To Do and How To Do It Before Your Veterinarian Arrives."
The cost of the seminar is $50 for adults and admission includes lectures, breakfast, lunch, informational handouts, and a CD of proceedings. Registration for children 13 and younger is $25. The wet lab is an additional $25 to be paid in advance (refunds will be issued if the wet lab is full). For all RSVPs submitted after Aug. 1, add $10 per registration.
