La Ville Rouge, dam of Barbaro and now three full brothers.

“He is a good size colt with plenty of leg and size as indicative of his weight,” said Headley Bell, the managing partner of Mill Ridge. “A bay colt, he only has a marking on the center of his forehead. Thankfully both mom and baby are well.”

The colt was bred by Roy and Gretchen Jackson. La Ville Rouge has produced two other full brothers to ill-fated Barbaro, who won the 2006 Kentucky Derby for the Jackson’s Lael Stables. Her 3-year-old, Nicanor, finished second in a maiden special weight March 7 at Gulfstream Park. Lentenor, the 2-year-old, is in training at Stephens Thoroughbreds near Ocala, Fla.

La Ville Rouge, by Carson City, is booked to Dynaformer.
